What is Gout:

How to Use

【什麼是痛風】

痛風是由持續無症狀高尿酸血症（即血液中含過多尿酸）所引致的關節炎。無症狀高尿酸血症很常見，血清尿酸濃度大於10mg/dL可能導致痛風症狀。4

尿酸是嘌呤（又稱普林）的分解物，而嘌呤是一種自然存在於身體組織內（當細胞死亡時會釋放嘌呤）和許多食物中的物質。
當尿酸水平過高時，尿酸結晶成針狀尿酸鹽和在關節或周圍組織沉澱時，便會導致炎症和誘發痛風，引起劇烈疼痛。

根據衞生署在2019年出版的刊物3指出，在西方已發展國家，痛風是最常見的炎症性關節炎。據估計，約有3%至6%男士和1%至2%女性患有痛風。

【痛風症狀】
